[afnog] exchange 2003 can't send out emails!

Hi Fabian,

It sounds like the issue is with your ISP. If you have been sending out
mails from the server before now and it just suddenly stop, it is most
likely that some things have changes at your provider's end.

 

For instance, I once replaced a box on my network (CacheBox -
www.appliansys.com) and forgot to add the access control list (ACLs) that
defines the IP subnet of my network. All my customers that have exchange
server complained about the same issue as you have now. They could telnet to
external mail servers on port 25 etc, they could browse, but they were
unable to send emails. The issue persisted until we recreated the ACLs.

 

Check things up with your ISP - that is if you are sure you have not made
any configuration changes in error.

dear gurus,
 
strange my exchange 2003 has stopped sending out emails!...
 
i can send to few domains e.g netsec.co.za and cnet.co.tz delivery delay
message just says it will keep on sending.......
 
sitting on exchange 2003 i can ping, resolve, connect to port 25 on outside
mxs, surf e.t.c
 
emails from outside are coming i have check for black-lists my IP is not
listed.
 
my domain is mdh-tz.org with mx= mhmail.muchs-harvard.org 
 
any clues pls ?
