The domain is indeed broken:

~ % check_soa africaleaf.com

but should nevertheless work, there is a MX record. It seems there is
a DNS problem at malawi.net, anyway (see next message).

It is a bad idea to send a permanent error code (518) for a DNS
problem, anyway, since they may be transitory. Here is an example of
the default Postfix configuration when rejecting unknown domains (the
error code is 450, meaning it's temporary).
