perhaps also:

o. post the contents of named.conf that refer to this particular domain.
i.e. not the whole file but just the relevant bits
o. I see you're using nslookup.. try using nslookup -d2 ( debug level 2)
o. ps waux |grep named or ps -ef |grep named ( on solaris)
