Re: PCcard on FreeBSD 4.6.2

Thanks Brian, I have already discovered it the hard way....
I tried all kind of combinations of io, irq's, and memory, I finally made
it work...
The problem is that I couldn't even restart the process pccard since
the machine froze everytime I introduced the card. I had to hard boot
after every try, it took a while but finally worked with io 0x320-0x360
irq 3 10 11 and memory 0xd4000 16k.
Cheers,

Which model laptop? Which card controller chipset? ("dmesg" output,
look particularly for 'pcic0')
Typically problems are IRQ conflicts, you could try creating
/etc/pccard.conf with:
io 0x280-0x360
irq 5 9 10 11
debuglevel 9
(you need to kill -1 the pccardd process to get it to read any
changes), then experiment with different I/O ranges and/or interrupts.
Brian.
