If the machine works in Windows then 1 and 5 are probably OK.
To help diagnose the problem, please post to the list the output of the
following commands:
ifconfig -a # shows what interfaces you have & how they're conf'd
netstat -rn # shows your IP forwarding table
You can redirect the output of these commands to a file, e.g.
ifconfig -a >/tmp/netinfo
netstat -rn >>/tmp/netinfo
then paste /tmp/netinfo into an E-mail message, to save having to retype
what you see on the screen!
Can we see the contents of /etc/rc.conf too please.
