What exactly have you tried to and have failed? For example, paste a
line (if any) that you put in /etc/aliases and the error you get when
you send emails to that address. Do you have something like this below
in your aliases?

it-request: "|/usr/bin/rt-mailgate --queue IT --action correspond
--url http://rt.nix.net/"

Also, make your sure MTA is working fine. There are many instructions
