[afnog] DNS Problem (PTR Records on different subnets fails)

Hi Eddy,
i Actually have the zone 0.16.172.in.addr.arpa created in /etc/named.conf
i also have a corresponding zone file created for the above zone in /var/named directory.
However when i run dig -x the (ip address of a host in that zone), no PTR records are indicated.
e.g dig -x 172.16.0.2
i think there is something i am missing.

We have reverse DNS working on a server which is in a
different segment than the zones, so it should work.
e.g.
> 0.2.168.192.in.addr.arpa is zone for
> existing PTR records and new PTR record is on 172.16.0.0

In this case, I would recommend that you add a zone
0.16.172.in.addr.arpa in which you would create the PTR
records for that block.
