I think the 3600 or 3700 series routers would only offer sub-rate 
STM-1 bandwidth; but that's fine if Mohammed is looking at running 
small in the beginning.

For the smaller routers, FAQ's suggest the 3845 is more *likely* to 
run an STM-1 circuit at line rate (duplex) with larger or IMIX 
packet sizes without any services turned on - I wonder what good 
that is :-). Requires at least IOS 12.4(3), grrr...

An NPE-400 (7200-VXR) doesn't look any terribly faster than a 3845, 
but while probably initially more expensive, it would be cheaper to 
scale up in the long term with more gain.
