Also check the configuration register that you are working in for the routers
that lose these settings

Do you lose the configuration on all 15 routers, or just 
a few?

When you boot up, do you lose the entire configuration, 
or just the VLAN specific settings?

The 2950 NVRAM size is about 32K. How much of it are you 
using? You can show this when you type 'show run' and 
look at 'Current configuration : xxxx bytes' at the top 
of the output.
