Hmmh, see if you can manually connect to the snort 
database via CLI, using the snort username/password as 
specified in your acid_conf.php file.

This should help us eliminate MySQL as the failure point 
so we can focus on snort and/or the connecting file.

Are there any other logs you can provide?
