RE: how to disable and activate a clinet on cisco router to gain bandwidth access

This is very good.

For your application, a class C subnetting scheme would be typcial.

try this document out, it might help you with your subnetting,  it's a msword doc if you using Unix/Linux guess you can use staroffice to view the document

To disable a client from being routed to the Internet:

ip route 1.2.3.4 255.255.255.255 null 0

To enable that client get routed to the Internet again:

no ip route 1.2.3.4 255.255.255.255 null 0

Get Perl from www.perl.org. Current version is Perl 5.8.0.

For CCNA Study Guide, check out www.sybex.com. Subnetting is also discussed in serious detail, in this book.

However, just to understand your setup, you have a sufficient number of serial interfaces. Why would you want to separate the clients on different serial interfaces? I think you need to tell us what your topology is, what services [including Layer 2 services] you offer your clients, and how they connect to you. Also, include how you connect to the Internet, providing your DCE hardware like satellite modem, CSU/DSU to your telco/provider e.t.c. That way, we can help you define your current topology, and what it should be for your to complete your task.

You may also send your configuration so we understand the way your are subnetting.
