RE: IP_alias under Red Hat

Have you tried the ifconfig command with eth0:eth0 as an argument? The
following options after this are the same ones you use for command line
network interface configuration.

Subject: IP_alias under Red Hat

Hello every body,
Someone can help me to configure IP alias with routing under Red Hat 7.0
with kernel 2.2.16-22 or RH 6.X with kernel 2.2.X Really I'm seeking a way
to set up public ip alias without compiling the kernel to have IP alias as
a loadable module.

If that is not possible how do I get ip alias as loadable module by
compiling to letting unchanged my server remaining configuration.
