The nearest printer to yours looks like the WorkCentre 470cx:

It says "Works Black and White only with the Ghostscript 5.50 Lexmark 5700
driver" (lxm5700m)

For experimenting with printer drivers I strongly recommend you install
'apsfilter' as your frontend (it has a lot of dependencies, probably
including ghostscript if you don't have it already, so much quicker to
install from packages!)

You just run /usr/local/share/apsfilter/SETUP and follow the prompts. At the
main menu:

(1) Printer Driver Selection
(3) printer driver natively supported by ghostscript
(200) Lexmark 5700 monotone [lxm5700m]

and away you go. There is another possible driver under (13) Lexmark (10)
Lexmark 5700 [lex5700]. apsfilter installs in printcap and can automatically
detect file types and convert them automatically - e.g. if you lpr a jpeg
file it prints correctly.

I was given a $60 printer (Epson C42UX, usb) and using apsfilter and
ghostscript, I now use it as a fully featured colour postscript printer :-)
