Warning, many PC do not have as many free PCI slots.

We use the D-link 660. Very good 4-port card, only one PCI slot
used. Works with the 'tulip' driver of Linux.

What does it provide which is not in Linux or FreeBSD? I cannot find
this info on their Web page.
