RE: squid error (fwd)

Hi,

thanks for your previous reply, i have changed the effective user and group to read squid and the previous error seems to have been solved but now i have this error when i try to run this command:

 /usr/local/squid/bin/squid -z

add a group called nogroup to your /etc/group file, or better yet create a 
squid user and group and set the cache  effedctive user and group in the 
squid.conf to squid.  

that way your squid app runs in it's own sandbox...
