Well, you might want to try proving this to yourself. One way is to run the
'tcpdump -i ed0 -n ether broadcast' on one virtual console, and
'tcpdump -i ed1 -n ether broadcast' at the same time on a different one.

Are there any occasions where the same packet is received on both
interfaces?

Are the source IP addresses what you would expect?
