but all these programmes keep asking for some script (gconf.sh or
something like that) which I end up not getting with any install...

I am currently building gnome from sources and I keep getting
errors about some undefined symbols when compiling esound and I'm still
trying to find out which library I'm missing or?? :-(

Any ideas on where I shoud look (apart from the esound sources ... )?
