I dont think it would be possible.

I have a network like that here that terminates into a Cisco 2500 router.
The line goes into my Motorola Codex DSU/CSU modem and there's a serial
converter (even from Cisco) that takes it from the modem into the serial
port of the router and this person does ospf.
