Its software might not be looking this problem. However you might have
another machine which will notice. For example, if you have a FreeBSD
machine on the network, it logs any ARP inconsistencies it sees into
/var/log/messages:
May 19 09:16:18 web1 /kernel: arp: 192.168.0.30 moved from 00:01:02:06:4f:66 to 00:50:04:46:1a:9c on xl0
May 19 09:31:59 web1 /kernel: arp: 192.168.0.30 moved from 00:50:04:46:1a:9c to 00:01:02:06:4f:66 on xl0
