Can't Ping the gateway

All machines on my LAN (OS: Win 2000, NT, Win 95/98)
except one(OS: Win 98), can access the internet
through the gateway. This other machine sees all the
other machines on the LAN, but cannot even ping the
gateway. I have checked and re-checked the
configurations and everything seems to be okay. Any
help?
