Normally what is happening is that the machine is now sending a request to
the other user saying
talk request from user1 at domain.com
respond with talk user1 at domain.com
or something similar. The person you're requesting a talk connection to
now has to respond exactly as the message says i.e talk user1 at domain.com
as the request says.
