Most likely problems:
- Bad RAM (rather than too little RAM). Try taking out the original RAM.
- Wrong spec RAM (e.g. 66MHz RAM when motherboard is set to 100MHz bus)
- Overheating -- check your CPU fan
- Overclocking \ check all the jumpers
- CPU voltage / on the motherboard
