i did nothing except whine, at which i am particularly adept. :)

afrinic sysadmins diagnosed the problem to be a power supply

joel acquired and shipped the power supply from the states

nishal worked the very strange and broken bureaucrazy which played
hide-the-shipment on the jo'burg end

kaveer did the dirty on the server once the power supply was found and
gotten within his reach

and, as i said, there will be planning so things are less vulnerable

but again, i did little other than actually manage to hold my temper
