[afnog] 2010 AfriNIC's Board Elections: Seat 1 and 2 to be renewed

Dear Colleagues,

As you know, AfrINIC will be holding an election for positions 1 (North
Africa) and 2 (West Africa) for its Board of Directors according to
section  11.2,3 and 4 of our Bylaws. The election process is online at:

On May 15, 2010, the Nomination & Election Committee appointed by the
board evaluated the nominations received and published the slate of
candidates as follows:

For North Africa Region:

  ** Khaled Koubaa from Tunisia
  ** Nezar N. Sami from Egypt

For West Africa Region:

  ** Alioune Badara Traore from Mali
  ** Katim Seringe Touray from Gambia
  ** Mouhamet Diop from Senegal
  ** Ndeye Maimouna Diop Diagne from Senegal
  ** Obinna Nweje from Nigeria
  ** Yen Choi from Nigeria

The community is requested to review and  provide comment on the
candidates.

The election is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of June 3,
2010 in Kigali during the AfriNIC-12 Public Policy Meeting. Only
members of AfriNIC in good standing (accounting  wise) can vote. If you
will not be able to join us for the  meeting in Kigali, you can still
participate in the voting  process by appointing a proxy to represent
your organisation.
