Is /etc/default/snmpd configured to listen on other
	interfaces than 127.0.0.1 ?

(Annoying tendency for Debian based OSes to immediately start a service
after it is installed, which leads one to think it is available, but
it's usually disabled for accesses other than localhost) - are you
sure the server is listening on a public interface ?

Looks ok, but you are querying with version 1 (-v1) and you should
be using v2 (-v2c) at least for restricted views.

	Cheers,
