Hi All,

I have a mail server that is running postfix 2.2.10 ( according to "postconf
-d |grep mail_version").

Lately I have been heavily bombarded with spam. I had a look at the
var/log/maillog :

Jun 6 21:51:20 mailrwanda MailScanner[6065]: I have found clamavmodule
scanners installed, and will use them all by default.
Jun 6 21:51:20 mailrwanda MailScanner[6065]: ClamAV Module ERROR:: Could
not load databases from /usr/local/share/clamav
Jun 6 21:51:23 mailrwanda MailScanner[6103]: I have found clamavmodule

phishing whitelist

phishing blacklist

Jun 6 21:51:28 mailrwanda MailScanner[6219]: MailScanner E-Mail Virus

The caption is repetitive. I note that the version of clamAV is outdated(not
supported) according to their website and possibly Mailscanner as well.
Where do I start in fighting spam and how can I upgrade this?

The version of linux that is running is CentOS release 4.5 (Final).

I am a novice at working with Linux so any help/suggestions would be highly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Phillip
