[afnog] Desktop fails to work in FreeBSD 8.0

yes, I get a black screen

the /var/log/Xorg.0.log makes no mention of X--probeonly. here's all it says

    ... does not work, as in, black screen ?

    Might be a driver problem.

    What does "X --probeonly" say in /var/log/Xorg* ?
