Joel Ja did a pretty good presentation on what he's learned from  
setting up wifi installations for the various meetings/events at  
NANOG27 <http://nanog.org/meetings/nanog27/presentations/joel.pdf>

A few things have changed in the wifi world since 2003 but the  
concepts are still valid.
