Hi,

tell us which kind of "unix" you want to use.
best is to use the one you are most familiar with.

then there are 2 kinds of DNS servers:
- the so-called authoritative ones that hold zones and the parents refer
to them
- the resolvers which resolve, and often cache, and seldom validate,
queries from users you provide connectivity for.

they should not be mixed.
which kind do you need?
