Hi Teklay,
I assume you have the C6509 switches interconnected in a full mesh using L3 links (IP on physical interfaces), and running a dynamic routing protocol to exchange their respective IP subnets.
The scenario you want to implement would involve network redesign, with Ethernet trunking between the C6509 switches. You can then carry VLAN 100 and any other VLAN across these trunks. To avoid breaking your routing, you may also have to carry across these trunks a VLAN that will provide IP connectivity between the core switches.
Sincerely,
Benedict Munyao

Subject: [afnog] how can to aconfigure a vlan
hello, every body.
i work on a university which has 3 campuses. each campus has one coreswitch (cisco 6509) handling every local vlan information. the curret trend is each core swich handles its own vlan data base. is i have a vlan id of 100, it is created in one of the coreswitches and can be assigned to ports in that campus onlly.
but now i want to creat a vlan which has one subnet address and that is visible across all the campuses (i.e a VLAN spanning all the campuses).
can any one help me how can start that?
thank you for ur help.
