Hi Tomslin,
Thanks for the advise.
I'm preparing for the CVoice certification now and FXO/FXS labs are important. Otherwise, I will have to memorize the commands :-(
I'm going to google the 3725-ipvoice IOS images for GSN3 and give you guys a feedback if it worked.
Regards,
Elly

Hi,
For the complete CCVP lab practice, especially for QoS,GWGK and TUC I'll advise you use Dynamips with a 3640 or 2690 cisco IOS image. For CIPT, install CCM on VMWare with the registry cracked,so the cisco apps think it is an MCS server.
You could then connect all together, the virtual machines and the emulated gateways and gatekeepers into one lab. This works even for the CCIE voice labs.
Just so you know, the only prob with this setup is that, Dynamips doesn't support voice cards, so you can't really play with the FXO and FXS etc. stuff in CVOICE. Though I hear the Cisco 3725-ipvoice image supports voice modules with Dynamips, I haven't tried it yet.
Good luck!

Thanks. I'm going to try it out this week. However, it doesn't appear to support Caller Detail Records (CDRs) generated by voice gateways for billing and mediation.
Let me get my teeth into it and see how it works.

Check out zeroshell. I'm guessing you need a radius/vlan/qos management
solution? Zeroshell provides a great tool for this functionality.

Guidance: Radius Server and PGW220

hi,
I just started my self training for CCVP and I'm half way through the
CVOICE 3rd Ed book. Unfortunately, I don't have any equipment for
testing/training and at work, we only have production equipments. Does anyone
know any emulator similar to gns3 that support VoIP?
Furthermore, I have been googling for a radius server that supports VoIP to
setup on a linux box. No luck so far. Some guidance on this will really help.
Lastly, what book(s) I should look/buy to fully understand how PGW220 works? So
far, I only know it suppose to run on on Solaris 8 and managers signaling. :-(
Thanks,
Elly
