Hi guys,

it is working now. I double checked and found a typo with the last dot on the host name to which i am creating the PTR for.

instead of

2 IN PTR noaron.localhost.

i had

2 IN PTR noaron.localhost

thanks though.

You did not include the output of dig.

What's the IP address of the name server where you have these
zones? What nameservers are listed in the /etc/resolv.conf file? If
the nameserver is running on the computer where you are doing the
query, you should only have nameserver 127.0.0.1 in your /etc/resolv.conf file.
