Hi All,

I have configured the Cisco router to relay the DHCP requests to DHCP server which is sitting on different network from the targetted clients. Clients who are on the same network (192.168.3.0/24) as DHCP Server are being assigned IP addresses without problems while those on the other network (192.168.30.0/24) are unable to get IP addresses. I am not sure where I am missing it. Here is a sketch of the setup:

DHCP Server---------------------(eth0)-Cisco Router-(eth1)-------------------DHCP Client
192.168.3.20 -----------------192.168.3.1( Router )192.168.30.1-------------192.168.30.x
(192.168.3.0/24)------------------------------------------------------------------(192.168.30.0/24)

On DHCP Server two address pools are created: 192.168.3.70-192.168.3.120 (for one network) and 192.168.30.70-192.168.30.120 (for other network).

Let me know what I am missing to have this operational. Here is my interface config.

interface ethernet1
 ip address 192.168.30.1

ip helper-address 192.168.3.20
