Carl,

>From the logs, Auth Type is system. The module that the system is trying to use for authenticatio is "Unix". There is indeed no request going to your mysql database.

The user akim could be a system user in your password file.

Besides, is this user (user:akim passwd:willy) only in the mysql
database?

It could also be in the "users" file where usernames and passwords are
kept.
