Hello Afnog
I managed to install gcc now. But when I come to do "make all", I get
some errors that make is not found. Looks like I am still in the dark.
Anyone to help. Where can I get the make package for solaris?

No another note, I have a running nagios on my workstation (Intel
processor running Linux FC5). Its been working for two years now. But I
want to move it to a production server where everyone could have access
other than on my PC.

Please help

David
