This exemple shows how Telecom providers can also help Education in Africa.

The CEDESURK and CELTEL Congo have signed a partnership contract for 494,881 USD at the seminar to launch  " eb at le "  a  project  to interconnect Congoleses Universities  this 17 december 2007.
 
 Eb @: Congolese network for Education

 The institutions of higher learning and research institutions in the Democratic Republic of Congo, anxious to strengthen their collaboration, have entrusted the association CEDESURK, of which they are members, the mission of implementing the proposed inter-network called the " EB at LE " the Congolese network for Education", in order to promote education and research in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 
 
   
 
 This open and scalable network will provide applications and communication services, access to scientific and technical information, as well as online education and distance learning universities, institutions of higher learning and research centers Congolese. 
 Through the financial and technical support of CELTEL Congo, this network is about to see the light of day.
 In its initial phase, it will create the telecommunications infrastructure of Congo CELTEL a LAN can connect via CEDESURK and its francophone Digital Campus, the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU), the University of Kisangani (UNIKIS), the National Pedagogical University (UPN), the Higher Institute of Applied Technologies (ISTA), the Catholic Faculties of Kinshasa (CKF), the Catholic University of Bukavu (UCB), the University Protestante in Congo (UPC) and the University Kongo (UK). CELTEL Congo fund further commitment of two directors systems and networks that will ensure four years the management of CEDESURK and its francophone Digital Campus and deployment of the network eb at le.
