Good day.

Netflow reporting is now easy using my Netflow Appliance. A virtual appliance is a fully
pre-installed and pre-configured application and operating system environment that runs on any standard x86 desktop or server in a self-contained, isolated environment known as a virtual machine (more details at http://www.vmware.com/appliances/ ) i.e no long compilation needed, just download, start and edit the config files and you are go to go!

The appliance analyses Netflow data from routers to efficiently provide a key set of services for IP applications, including network traffic accounting, usage-based network billing, network planning, security, Denial of Service monitoring capabilities, and network monitoring and provides valuable information about network users and applications, peak usage times, and traffic routing. It enables Network adminstrators to answer the who, what, when, where and how of bandwidth usage.

The appliance is free and built from various open source tools and comes with CUFlow and JKFlow report modules.

  To try it, download from
  http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/293

Free VMWARE player can be used to run the appliance if you do not have a VMWARE Workstation/Server product.

  Happy Trials,
