3- A Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 3) box
with NIC name Broadcom Corporation|NetXtreme BCM5703X Gigabit Ethernet
$ vi ifcfg-eth0
DEVICE=eth0
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
IPADDR=172.30.105.2
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=172.30.105.254

The Linux box runs iDirect software and is the Protocol Processor on which
VLAN can be set up.
