You could try rebuilding the source RPM with the rpmbuild -ba 
exim-filename.spec, with the relevant options you need in it, and see if it 
builds. Or you could try installing the Exim RPM that arrives with the RH 
CD's.

You could also run apt-get, to get the latest Exim RPM for your RH version.
